| Despite outhitting the Twins 13-10, the Phils fall way short in the run collumn. Two reasons - the Twins poke out four homeruns (two by Josh Willingham) and make the most of their chances by only leaving oneruner on base the entire game! |

Josh Willingham launched 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI at Target Field as the
Minnesota Twins beat the Philadelphia Phillies by the count of 10 to 5.
It was a good day for Minnesota thanks to Willingham. He clubbed a solo home
run in the 4th inning, stroked a one-base hit which brought home a run in the
6th inning and smashed a two-run homer in the 7th inning. Philadelphia had
13 hits in the game while Minnesota had 10, but Minnesota had the more timely
hits.
The victory was credited to Scott Diamond(4-1) who went 5 and 2/3 innings,
allowing 2 runs. Joe Blanton(2-6) was the loser. He served up 3 homeruns in
his 5 and 2/3 innings.
'I've spent a lot of time in the cage and made some adjustments and they've
paid off,' Willingham said. 'I just take the same approach up there. I don't
overanalyze it. I go up there, see the ball and try to put a good swing on
it.'
