April 5, 2012 Phillies 7, Pirates 1




The Phils open the 2012 season in their home state of Pennsylvania, just the other end of it. Pirates starter Eric Bedard walks the first three Phillies in the 3rd inning and has one of the more interesting pitching lines you will see - 1 1/3 innings, 2 hits, 5 runs, 4 ER, and 3 walks. The Pirates outhit the Phillies 9-7 for the game despite falling six runs short on the scoreboard.
