| Cole Hamels tosses his 2nd shutout for the season, and also sets a season high in whiffs by striking out 11 Dodgers. Dodger starter AAron Harang is the hard-luck loser, as he did allow both runs but both were unearned! Hamels' 1.81 ERA puts him 4th in the majors in that department. The Phillies hit the road next for the big chunk of their interleague play with series in Baltimore, Minnesota and Toronto before coming back home to face Tampa Bay. Three of those teams are no strangers to the Phils at all, as they have played them numerous times ion the interleague plus the World Series (losing to Baltimore in 1983, Toronto in 1993 and beating Tampa Bay in 2008), but they have not played the Twins very often. The Twins (or their previous incarnation the Washington Senators) have never been played in the World Series and have only been played in the interleague three other times. This will be the Phillies first trip to Minnesota since 2004. |
