April 22, 2012 Phillies 5, Padres 2

After the Padres' Chase Headley rips a solo homerun in the bottom of the 8th to tie the score, the Phils come back with a vengance scoring three times in the top of the 9th. Two of those runs came home on Ty Wiggington's second double of the game. What the Phils may lack in the batting department (only at .226 through the 16 games) they make up for on the bases leading the majors at this juncture with 20 steals. That pace most likely will not continue, but if it does it equates to 202 stolen bases on the season. BTW if you are curious, the modern time record for the Phillies is 186 steals, back in 1984. Nowhere near the modern record overall for a team, which is an unbelievable 341 stolen bases for the 1976 Oakland A's. The 1985 Cardinals have 314 steals for the NL modern record.
