| If you saw that one team had 7 hits with four of those for extra bases including a homerun and the other team had only two hits, who would you think would win the game? The team with seven hits, right? Not today!! Roy Halladay sails through the first four innings, only allowing a single and walk. He comes totally unglued in the 5th, walking the first three hitters of the inning to load the bases. Next batter, Braves pitcher Tommy Hanson, tries a bunt that is popped up for out number one, and a grounder for Michael Bourn is thrown home to nail the runner for out number two. But, next batter Martin Prado gets a hold of a meater and blasts it into the seats for the grand salami and four runs in the inning on only one hit. It all adds up to the first loss of the year for Halladay. Two singles and a walk load the bases in the 9th for the Phillies, but they come up empty-handed. Jimmy Rollins was responsible for the one Phillie run with a solo homerun, his third homer in four games. |

In an entertaining game at Turner Field the final score was the Atlanta Braves
4, the Philadelphia Phillies 1.
Philadelphia surrendered all of the runs Atlanta needed in the 5th inning when
they came up with 4 runs on 1 hit. The crucial at-bat was provided by Martin
Prado who brought a roar from the partisan Turner Field fans when he launched
a rocket-shot out of the park for a Grand Slam homerun. Atlanta won despite
being out-hit by Philadelphia 7 hits to 2.
Tommy Hanson(2-3) allowed 1 run in 8 innings, and picked up the victory. Craig
Kimbrel got the save, his 5th. Roy Halladay(5-1) ended up with the loss.
