May 7, 2012 Phillies 6, Mets 2

The hits are even at 9 apiece, but the Phillies make better use of theirs with a 2-run homer for Shane Victorino in the 3rd and Hunter Pence smokes a 3-run shot in the 4th. Roy Halladay continues his early dominance, with his 6th win tying the Pirates' James McDonald for the major league lead and his 1.15 ERA leading the majors also.

Hunter Pence lofted one into the 'cheap seats' and had 4 RBI at Citizens Bank
Park as the Philadelphia Phillies beat the New York (NL) Mets by the count of
6 to 2.

In the 3rd inning Philadelphia went on top for good scoring 2 runners on 2
hits. That scoring would be all that was needed. Neither team managed to
score after the 4th inning.

Roy Halladay(6-1) got credit for the victory, pitching 8 innings and allowing
2 runs. Jon Niese(3-2) was given the loss. He allowed 6 runs and 8 hits in 6
innings.
